Kijno
"And what if painting were an organic, sexual, cortical function I cannot escape, a food as indispensable as the bread I eat, the wine and the water I drink, the air I breathe, the sun which warms me, the shadows which protect me, the earth I walk on. (...) And what if art were something very dangerous, a deadly trade which, one way or another, will cost you your life." The painter Kijno shouts at us, raises essential questions. We discover his work, the fig trees, the pebbles, the icons, the crumpled paper, the steles... He describes his combats, his meetings with Angela Davis and artists such as Picasso, Hartung, Germaine Richier. His musician and conductor friend, Jean-Claude Casadesus, talks about him and the music of his painting.
