The Indian ghettos, the misery of the slums, the difficulty of redemption from a destiny that is otherwise already decided. Sister Nancy Pereira is Indian, but hates resignation. She is 74 years old and has the pluck of a captain of industry. She has been working for years in the degraded outskirts of the Indian metropolises and wanders around the Indian ghettos attempting to cut the very roots of desperation. When she returns to the convent, she talks to God of the women she helps, giants of courage and dignity. This documentary tells the Indian nun's commitment saving hundreds of drifting lives. It reconstructs her life, her work in the slums, degraded and unhealthy outskirts where the untouchables and outcasts live.
