Whenever anyone would ask Erik Bruhn how he was feeling, he'd often reply, "I’m the same, only more", a statement typical of his way of thinking. He has been called one of the greatest dancers of our time. Through his dancing, he sought more than mere physical and emotional expression; he aspired to the unattainable, to transcend the spiritual. The director was one of his close friends, and his film explores the man and the dancer, who ached for the divine.
