How well do you really know the person who shares your bed and your life ? This is the question that begins to plague Jana when she discovers a tube of lipstick in her husband's coat pocket and, later, women's clothing among her husband's things. Is Roman, her husband of 17 years and father of her two children, cheating on her ? If only it were that simple... Her anger pales before the shock she experiences one day when she follows Roman and finds him in full drag at a self-help center for transsexuals. Her world collapses... Jana stuggles to understand, ultimately coming to terms with Roman's situation. Her love gives her the strength to fight for her family and for Roman's most ardent wish : to undergo the operation that will transform him into a woman. Ahead of them lies a journey filled with hate, prejudice and incomprehension, a journey into the unknown.
