Enfant de collabo

The Collaborator's Child

It's not always easy being one's father's child, especially when the father was exiled, imprisoned and shot during the post-Liberation trials for collaboration. Most of these children, weighed down with a name that is hard to uphold, are now between 50 and 70. French history has burdened them with the image of a father fallen into disgrace, the image of the collaborator. This legacy has often made them suspect in the eyes of their contemporaries. How does one bear the weight of memory and guilt ? That is the theme of the film. As these children speak out, history and psychology merge.
