Don Giovanni Unmasked

Don Giovanni Unmasked is an adaptation of Mozart's operatic masterpiece, "Don Giovanni". Set simultaneously in two distinct epochs - 1930's Hollywood and 1620's Seville -, the story takes the form of a film within a film and is presented from the point of view of Don Giovanni's servant, Leporello. In 1930, Leporello is the host of a movie, set in 1620, which reveals the longstanding secret of his master's identity. Dmitri Hvorostovsky sings both the roles of Leporello and Don Giovanni. Through the intricate use of CGI and other visual effects, Dmitri transcends time and dimension to dramatically interact with himself.
