Mrs. Mauerhoff has an uncanny feeling. Whispering insistently, she tells of something incredible happening. What she doesn’t know is that she is losing her memory and lives in an old-peoples-home since recently. The filmmaker with her camera seems to be her accomplice and Mrs. Mauerhoff maintains a constant dialogue with her. She wanders about in a labyrinth of hallways unknown to her and wants to go home. The things happening to her appear odd to her : busy nurses claim that she lives in one of the rooms in this strange house - but she has never seen this room and so she gradually begins to suspect a collective conspiracy. Due to her confidence in the camera, her charismatic personality and her poetic language, Mrs. Mauerhoff is able to provide a disturbing insight into the unsetting world she lives in.
