Dancer is a dynamic portrait of the world-renowned Danish ballet dancer, Nikolaj Hübbe. The film follows the course of the ambitious dancer for three months at the New York City Ballet, where he works together with Peter Martins. Hübbe's friend and Ballet colleague, Ulrik Wivel, making his debut here as a director, has followed Nikolaj Hübbe at close range : in confidential discussions, during the grueling work in the training studio and on stage.
