Since the dawn of time, the myths of perfection and immortality have nurtured the wildest dreams and the most destructive passions. Today, there are those who seek to literally give body to these myths and strive to create human clones that can reproduce alone and without sexual activity, ad infinitum... Such considerations give one goose bumps... When a society sets out in this way to modify the conception of individuals and species (...), isn't that a symptom of madness ? Behind the fantasies of cloned humans lurks a lucrative market in human embryos and transgenic animals, conceived as living laboratories and industrial breeding grounds. Using interviews with preeminent specialists (biologists, psychoanalysts, jurists, economists and philosophers), the filmmakers conduct us into the heart of a crucial debate.
