This series recreates the startlingly realistic world of prisons for men and women, the dynamic between prisoners and guards, the interpersonal relations within prison, and the relations between inmates and their friends and family on the outside. Lieutenant-Squadron Leader Shlomo Twizer who, at the time of filming was in charge of a group of prisons in Ramallah, talks about his own difficult and fascinating life to Haim Bouzaglo, as well as key incidents at the prison. The series (39 episodes planned) focuses upon the Asulin family, modeled on the Twizer family, whose story functions as a through-line for the series.
