The Sopranos
Anthony — "Tony" to his friends — Soprano, a thoughtful husband and father, devoted son to his widowed mother, and the head of a consultancy firm, is going through a mid-life crisis. He has his hands full dealing with his family and... the Family. Saving his marriage to Carmela and reining in his over-ambitious young nephew are his main preoccupations. After suffering a series of anxiety attacks, Tony goes to see Dr Jennifer Melfi, a psychoanalyst. Cool, lovely, sophisticated. But for a Mafia boss, therapy can have serious consequences.
