The Picnic
On a sunny winter afternoon, a family goes on an ostensibly pleasant picnic trip to a forest on an isolated island. The father, a debt-ridden businessman, prepares to commit family suicide with sleeping pills and exhaustion gas. The mother wants to let her child survive but they have already taken the pills. She runs out of the forest with her child in her arms, and tries to show him the sea before their death. When they get there, she falls to the ground, overwhelmed by the pills. The father brings the two back to the car, takes his pills, and starts the car. Out of competition
