In the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg, part of the population is of immigrant origin, the Italian community being one of the largest. The director of this film, born in Luxembourg, stemmed from this very community, is searching for this new land, issued both from Luxembourg and Italian earth, a land which is real and imaginated. Terra mia is not a hymn to parents, but a sensitive movie about this new life, which children of the second generation are claiming as theirs.
