Robert Casadesus
Robert Casadesus is one of the few French pianists to have enjoyed a career in the United States. The film sets out to familiarize us with this great 20th century pianist, who has played under the great orchestra leaders of his day. Gaby Casadesus, the doyenne of the Casadesus "tribe", reminisces about Robert, whose life and music she shared. The conversation is illustrated with archive images and interlarded with the testimonies of other musical personalities. Music is present throughout the film, both in sound archives, and excerpts from concert films and live television performances.
