Taken together, these five films constitute a general survey of Patrice Chereau's work with young trainee actors in 1998, when he directed a workshop with the students of the National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts. What better way for an audience to grasp the evolution and training of an actor than through the experience of working with aspiring actors. Each film can be appreciated independent of the others. It is not a progressive series of episodes, though there are links that will be evident to viewers who see all five lessons.
