Ouverture is a documentary film about the Shota Rustaveli State Institute of Theatrical Art and Cinema, where are trained most of Georgian great artists. Using silent film footage of the 20s, 30s and 40s, the film traces the creation of the Institute as well as its educational methods. Georgian television archives present portraits of the famous artists formed by the Institute.
