The shattered life and times of the great Romanian painter and sculptor Mircea Ciobanu, whose work is known in museums and private collections around the world. Ciobanu left Romania in 1980 and lived and worked in France, Switzerland and the United Sates until his untimely death. The film documents the incidents surrounding the theft of one of his finest works, after the huge success of his Rockefeller Center exhibition in New York in 1986.
