Mohammad is a 43 year-old Iranian. His 73-year-old mother has been living with him in his apartment in Sweden for the past few years. Mohammad has met a woman from Norway and wants to live with her; he asks his mother to move out. Having never lived alone, she suddenly feels abandoned and rejected by her son. The situation becomes fraught as these three people give vent to their emotions. Mum is Moving Out is a film about mothers and sons, identity and cultural differences.
