This is a film about our life. Our past life, our present life, and probably, our future life. The characters in this film, residents of a retirement home in Prochkovo, in the Novgorod region, relate tragic and complex events. Here we find people who were prisoners, either innocent or guilty, those who were their jailers, as well as those who worked honestly for the good of the nation all their lives. In the presence of death, all are equal. The residents of this house live out their lives once again on the screen. Life in this building is an image of our past life and, sadly enough, for the time being, our present life. Everything that exists in our life has its number.
