L'Arc-en-ciel éclaté
Children of Raïs, survivors of the massacre of August 1997, gather in a large room in their village to make some collective frescos. The camera traces the different stages of this project and records the comments of children about their drawings and paintings. Via the traumatized gazes of the children, the film evokes that night of horror and looks into the future. The film records some of the most poignant cases. We follow the children, and their surviving relations, in their daily lives. For the first time, they take us to the sites of the massacre, usually their own former homes, which have been mostly re-occupied by the military.
