Kaas
Laarmans, a clerk at the timber wharf in Antwerp before the war, comes into contact with an important lawyer. The lawyer suggests he could sell cheese and Laarmans is eager to comply, after some objections from his wife. His brother, a doctor, gives him a medical certificate so he is able to stay from the wharf for some time. Laarmans starts meticulous preparations, but after a while, he finds out he is not the salesman he dreamed he would be. He sets up a network of direct sales reps and asks PR consultant Boormans for advice, but the cheese stays on the shelves. His frustration grows and slowly Laarmans has a breakdown. He stops everything, pays for the unsold cheese and returns to his office, relieved.
