Hoax or the Mad, the Bad and the Sad
How far are television producers and decision-makers willing to go in order to generate high ratings in an increasingly voyeuristic TV Market? Here are three disturbing stories presenting people who will go a really long way, sometimes way beyond the truth. We start by meeting the notorious hoaxer Michael Born who willingly recreates some of the hoaxes which he foisted on an unwitting German public and which led to a prison sentence. The second part takes us to the hard news world of Los Angeles where so-called "telecoptors" deliver live television moments of suicides and killings for the American viewers. Finally we take a look at the demands of the British market: images of Princess Diana - dead or alive.
