This film is based on a true story. After the death of her husband, a young woman with a child remarried with a man younger then herself. The marriage was far from perfect — differences in age, social background and cultures proved to be an increasingly problematic obstacle for the couple. After 11 months of married life, the young woman, Hasti, decided to leave her brutal and suspicious husband. After receiving the medical report, the judge, in accordance with Islamic law, condemned the husband to pay a certain amount of money. Hasti and Nasser got back together, but Nasser continued to beat his wife. Hasti could no longer put up with her life. Once again, she appealed to the court. According to Islamic law, if one member of a couple is shown to be psychologically disturbed, the court can order a legal separation.
