Georges Perros
Georges Poulot, better known as Georges Perros, died 20 years ago, almost unknown. Since then, the reputation and importance of his work - only a portion of which had been published at the time - has been growing. Time has revealed what now strikes us as self-evident: Perros' writings are an absolute, almost mystical, necessity for every new reader. Hence the growing popularity of the writer and the abundance of posthumous publications, his correspondence in particular. In the late 60s, filmmaker Paul-André Picton met Georges Perros at his home in Douarnenez, in Brittany. He brought back several hours of film - interviews, motorcycle rides, confidences and music performed on the piano in the housing project apartment overlooking the sea. This material, for the most part unknown, constitutes the basic material of this portrait. They remain the only filmed documents on Perros.
