Execution of Justice
Deeply conservative Dan White runs on an agenda condemning " radicals, social deviates and incorrigibles " and wins the election in District 8 in San Francisco. But jubilation soon turns to concern as White is made aware of a city ordinance that prevents a citizen from holding two city jobs simultaneously. He is forced to leave the fire department, but the Supervisor’s position does not pay enough to support his growing family. Becoming increasingly unhinged, White subsists on a steady diet of junk food. While watching television, he learns that he will not be reappointed to his position. The next morning, White goes to City Hall where he executes the Mayor of the city and an openly gay elected official. During his murder trial, White is portrayed as an all-American boy who, in a fit of depression, consumed large quantities of junk food in the days prior to the murders creating his antisocial and violent behavior.
