Diogène à Brazzaville
This documentary tells how a young man, Sony Labou Tansi, born in Kimwanza (Congo), became an internationally famous writer with the appearance of his first novel "Life and a Half" published by Seuil in 1979. This man of the theatre, an undeniable role model for an entire generation, was a front-line witness to the social, political and intellectual life of the African continent, and a major player in promoting the French language, until his death of AIDS-related illness on June 14, 1995.
