Cambodge : la mémoire ou l'oubliCambodia: Let Bygones Be Bygones
A few months ago, Nuon Chea and Khieu Samphan, two of the Khmer Rouge chiefs were able to visit the temple of Angkor with complete impunity. Yet these men were responsible for the killing frenzy that claimed the lives of 1,700,000 Cambodians between 1973 and 1977 - one of the major genocides of the century. Today, in the name of national reconciliation, the new regime is coming to terms with the former assassins. But some of the survivors of the genocide are calling for justice. Ronnie is one of them. His family was butchered in front of his eyes more than 20 years ago. He returns to the scene for the first time. He also goes to see the Khmer Rouge who once saved his life.
