A curious mixture of tourists, New Age devotees, sick people, scientists and photographers meet up every autumn for the whaling season in Tysfjord in northern Norway. The only thing they have in common is their deep yearning for a rare encounter with the killerwhales. The locals can only shake their heads in amusement at the spectacle. Moreover, some of them know how to benefit from this procession of pilgrims… A documentary on the differences between the inhabitants of Tysfjord and the whale-watching tourists.
