Algérie, des enfants parlentAlgeria, the Child's View
The film portrays the images of war and terrorism through the eyes of children. It moves between the painfull memories of the director, who was a child in the 1960s during the Algerian war, and the today's children who live, like a fatality, the repetition of the slaughters and the horror. Between past and present, the film questions the possibility of reconstruction of today's Algeria. Through the words of these Algerian children, this film is willing to fight the amnesia that always follows these drama. It is a film for tomorrow, a film that might help the future adults to understand what they have lived and not to reproduce it.
