JEAN-CLAUDE CARRIÈRE I appeared in a terrific surrealistic play by Jean-Claude Carrière, The Terrace. I have a memory of Jean-Claude having one of the characters cry out, "Incidentally, there's quite a wind!" - that "incidentally" says it all. All of Carrière's sense of humor is there.

With Carrière, you're always crying out - the audience, the cast, the readers, or simply the friends who have the chance to listen to his talk, to hear him tell those wonderful stories that are his specialty, which only he alone can tell with that hunger and curiosity he has about others.

Frankly, let me ask you this: How can anyone resist the charm, talent and friendship of Jean-Claude Carrière?

I, for one, have never tried.
